The Morgan Library & Museum in New York is hosting a display of inscribed ancient Near Eastern stone artifacts this spring and summer in its exhibit Written in Stone: Historic Inscriptions from the Ancient Near East. The highlight of the exhibit is a Mesopotamian tablet from the Middle Assyrian period (13th century B.C.) that has never been displayed in a museum.
